Itinerary
Arrival to Bled
First day to get settled in, if you arrive in the morning, you can go on an introductory loop around Bled Lake. You will pick up your bikes and get them fitted and ready to hit the road next morning.

Bled to Kranjska Gora
The route will take you from Bled to the hills surrounding the highest peaks of Julian Alps right in front of you. The ride through the picturesque Radovna Valley will give you a sense of the beauty of Triglav National Park, pristine habitat where you can enjoy the nature without cars or distractions. A ride on a quiet bike path overlooking Sava river follows, and Kranjska Gora, at the foot of the mountains, is your destination.

Kranjska Gora to Bovec
Time to tackle the mountains! Vršič Pass with its hairpin turns is one of the most scenic alpine roads in Slovenia and holy grail for every cyclist. The road will take you directly among the peaks of Julian Alps and reward you with amazing views. The descent to the other side will take you to the emerald Soča Valley, which was featured in many Hollywood movies. You will find a well-deserved rest in the alpine town of Bovec.

Bovec to Kobarid
The signature emerald color of the Soča River contrasts sharply with the surrounding green shades of lush valley vegetation. That should be a perfect backdrop for the ride along the valley and its surrounding hills. Can you notice the remains of the WW1 battlefields along the way? You will be able to learn all about it at your destination. The strongest riders can combine days 4 and 5 and ride all the way to Goriska Brda.

Tolmin to Goriška Brda
Time for some scenery change. From the Alpine climate you experienced in the first days of the tour you are now headed towards the Mediterranean climate. The route will take you to one of most scenic wine regions in the world, Goriška Brda with its softly rounded hills and never ending vineyards. Great opportunity to notice the transformation of the natural and cultural environment, with a glass of wine from the best Slovenian winemakers.

Goriska Brda to Karst region
Another day, another totally different region and surface. Even though you will still be in wine country, the roads will take you through limestone terrain of Slovenian Karst. Marvel at the shapes and secrets that the water carved out of the terrain and enjoy the beautiful built environment in villages such as Štanjel. In the evening, you can try what the winemakers of the region extract from the red earth - the teran wine produced only in Karst.

Karst to Piran
The last day of cycling will take you along magnificent underground caves in Karst and on to the brink of Slovenian coast. Along this show of diversity of Slovenian regions, you can marvel at the Gulf of Trieste, cycle along an abandoned railway, smell salt marshes and finally dip your toes in the Mediterranean Sea. Piran with its signature Venetian facades and spectacular sunrises will be waiting for you. If you combine any of the previous stages and have a day to spare, we can add a day of riding in the hills of Istria.
